Friendly, supportive and patient
Welcome,
Are you feeling, lost alone or confused?
Do you feel you'd benefit from a professionals insight?
Are you repeating old patterns of thought/behaviours and you'd like a change?
Perhaps it’s time to reach out and see if counselling, with me, could help?

Struggling in your relationship? Going around in circles? Considering breaking up?

There are many reasons you may be seeking counselling, perhaps you face a tough decision to make, confidence is low or you have just had a relationship break up.
Counselling is a unique relationship which can really benefit, when feeling confused and hurt or when speaking to friends and family member does not feel like an option. Perhaps you are new to counselling, have had some counselling as a teen or a friend has benefited from therapy.
It is a real investment in your 'self' that can have far reaching benefits to all areas of your life and the important people in it.
Counselling although sometimes hard, can bring about change to the way you view yourself; your worth, the 'rules' you have been living by and therefore impact upon personal and working relationships for the better.

HOW CAN I HELP?
It is my hope that creating a safe, confidential and non judgemental safe space, we can begin to work through that which is troubling.
We can work for a limited time capacity or until you feels progress has been made.

Online- zoom or telephone
Since 2020, I have enjoyed and encouraged clients to use technology. The pandemic meant adapting to online which has enabled me to support clients in the the UK and aboard. Counselling could not be more accessible, from the comfort of your own home and in lunch breaks whilst working from home. I provide the same empathy and connection and clients report feeling the sessions are as professional, confidential and held.
Face to face sessions
'Growth occurs when individuals confront problems, struggle to master them, and though that struggle develop new aspects of their skills, capacities, views about life.'
Carl Rogers

Face to face sessions are an hour long and provide that much needed connection and feeling of being alongside eachother. Our setting is private, neutral and peaceful, enabling you to switch off and be truly present. There is free roadside parking.
Person centred

Training, Qualifications and Experience
I am a qualified counsellor and member of the (MBACP) British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. This means I am bound by a strict code of ethics and undertake monthly supervision. I work from rooms in Marsh Barton, Exeter which provide a convenient location for my clients.
I studied at the Iron Mill Institute in Exeter, I was required to reflect on my own personal work, my counselling philosophy and my style before volunteering and completing my exam (Viva).

I love my work and I believe my clients can feel it. Well-being and finding peace is a priority with helping the client to find a way back to the self that has perhaps (only temporarily) been lost, or fostering a new way of being themselves.
I want my clients to feel, accepted, heard and know that their therapy journey is theirs and my role is that of the facilitator. I have gained a wealth of experience over my 10 years of counselling, below are some of the areas I have explored.
